Lange tijd werd gedacht dat skateboarden een rage was die wel zou overwaaien.
Vele gemeenten weten intussen wel beter en hebben een of meer skateparken aangelegd.
Steeds meer gemeenten nemen ook het skateboarden op in hun aanbod aan sportkampen.
Hier knelt echter het schoentje: geschikte lesgevers vinden die bovendien in aanmerking komen voor subsidiëring.

Om aan de nood aan geschoolde lesgevers tegemoet te komen, organiseert de Vlaamse Trainersschool voor het eerst een cursus initiator skateboarden.
De cursus vindt plaats in het Blosocentrum van Hofstade en loopt van 1 tot 7 augustus 2009. De cursus kan zowel in externaat als in internaatsverband gevolgd worden.
Als bijlage vind je een flyer en de nodige info over de cursus.
We zouden het bijzonder op prijs stellen indien je deze informatie zou verspreiden onder de skaters.
